Redo & Renew

I absolutely love Kathy and her shop and I know that she has no clue how much I adore her store.  There are many aspects about her and her shop that reminds me of standing in my mom’s jewelry shop that she had as I was growing up.  I want to touch everything!  Then I start wishing I was more girly girl like my mom and Kathy so I could proudly wear her creations from old jewelry.

Kathy takes different pieces of jewelry that all to often gets thrown out or discarded.  She then creates beautiful new one of a kind pins (and they can easily be made into a necklace).  She also has bookmarks that will be the envy of all your friends, old lipstick holders (I already grabbed a few of those!) among other treasures.

Do you have a special piece of jewelry that belonged to a family member that might be broken or you want to give it a new life to wear again?  Bring it to Redo & Renew at the Sanford & Son Antiques, over on the middle floors with several other merchants.

Katherine & Nick ~ Auburn Game Farm Park

Katherine & Nick were one of many families we met through our Living Social deals that we had run last year.  They drove down from Bellevue and met us at the Game Farm Park in Auburn for their family portrait session which included their beautiful black lab mix family member who was delighted to run around the park as we explored the park in the light rain.

Kath & Kate ~ Tacoma Wedding

It maybe hard to believe this was only taken last month, looking at the weather you wouldn’t think this was a winter wedding.

Kath & Kate met while serving in the military.  Kate for the Australian Army and Kath from the US Army and both were in Afghanistan when they met and fell in love.  Kath will finish out her service here then move to Australia to live with Kate.  You just never know where you will met the love of your life!

Shawna & Roderick ~ We Will!

 

Shawna & Roderick choose to have their engagement session at Point Defiance Park, stopping at several of their favorite spots along 5 mile drive. They will be getting married at the end of March, very soon! We loved their smiles and easy laughter as they enjoyed their day together getting their engagement portraits. Now we are on wedding day countdown!

Bethany & Mike ~ Military CAV Ball, Doubletree Hotel @ SeaTac

Bethany had contacted us, asking if we would meet them at the Doubletree Hotel at SeaTac Airport for their CAV ball.  She wasn’t sure they would have a photographer there or not (and they didn’t).  She was able to preserve the memories of the night and show how great they looked with her stunning ball gown and him in his dress uniform.

Sarah & Matt ~ Point Defiance Park wedding

We absolutely fell in love with Matt & Sarah when we first met them at Forza, then again for their engagement session at Point Defiance Park, simply because we could see how in love they were with each other and the joy of life they shared.

Unfortunately Sonny wasn’t able to shoot with me and I had an assistant with me (no photos represented in this blog entry are from the assistant). 

The day started out by meeting Sarah at her room at the Silver Cloud Inn, where Matt saw his beautiful bride for the first time in her gorgeous wedding dress.  They allowed plenty of time for us to do the five mile drive at Point Defiance for some photographs of them and later their wedding party.  Sarah stayed securely hidden in the limo until the start of the wedding at the Rose Garden on a beautiful summer day.  They had their reception at the Tacoma Yacht Club with a large gathering of family and friends.

Thank-you Sarah & Matt for allowing me the wonderful opportunity to photograph your wedding.  I enjoyed every single minute of your day!
