Frontier Park Lodge Wedding ~ Jennifer & Brian

We had the opportunity to return to one of our favorite wedding venues this summer, Frontier Lodge at Frontier Park in Graham/Puyallup to photograph the wedding of Brian & Jennifer.  It was obvious that nothing was going to 1) stop the wedding and 2) steal their happiness.

On the way to the wedding the bride and her bridesmaids were in a minor car accident, a car hit them and they had to stop to deal with that before getting to the wedding.  This of course caused the wedding to be a wee bit delayed.  After all it’s hard to start a wedding without the bride!  Once the bride arrived, it was straight into the wedding ceremony and then time to celebrate.

Sometimes we all need a little re-assurance.  This little ring bearer did an awesome job!

Newborn Portrait Photography ~ Matthew

Tacoma Newborn Portrait Photographer - 1

Welcome to the world, Matthew!  It was such a joy working with Matthew in his home, we had photographed his mom and dad’s wedding several years ago and now we get to see the family grow.  The little owl hat was made by an aunt or grandmother (forgive me, I can’t remember which).  She not only made Matthew a hat, his sister has her own owl hat too.

Matthew was 6 days old for this session, it’s best to do newborn sessions within the first 10 days.

Tacoma Portrait Photography ~ Mindy & Patrick

Tacoma Portrait Photographer - newborn 01

Still playing catch up with weddings and portrait sessions, as I was preparing this blog entry, I was wondering if Mindy had her son by now or not!  Then later in the day, I received an e-mail letting me know that Evan has been born and we have now scheduled his very first session.  I can’t wait to meet him.

Mindy & Patrick met us downtown Tacoma and we walked around the Museum district and the UW Tacoma Campus.

Gonzaga University Wedding ~ Carrie & Seth

Spokane Wedding Photographer 01
This summer we had the privilege to photograph Carrie & Seth’s wedding in Spokane, WA.  Which also gave us the opportunity to spend a couple of days to walk along the Riverfront Park and just enjoy the warm sunshine of Eastern Washington!

We met Carrie & Seth through Amee & Raffi (sister and BIL of Seth) and were delighted to see many familiar faces again.  Family flew in and drove in for this beautiful wedding and reception.  The wedding ceremony took place at St Aloysius Catholic Church on the campus of Gonzaga University.  Followed by a reception at Anthony’s by the Riverfront Park in Spokane.

St Aloysius is such an amazingly beautiful church.  I’d love the opportunity to photograph another wedding there again.

I know the photo above of Carrie & Seth walking out is a bit blurry, but I still like it!  I almost tripped on something (I was in the balcony) trying to get to the edge so I could get this shot.  I really didn’t want to go over you know, yet I HAD to get the photo!

After the wedding ceremony, the wedding party stopped at the old Looff carousel at the Riverfront Park for a ride and one last group photo.  Such fun!

After the carrousel ride Carrie & Seth took a ride to another park for some of their bridal portraits.  Unfortunately (for me) I didn’t get the name of the park.  And I really wanted to return to the park.  Maybe next time I go to Spokane I’ll find the park.  If you recognize the park, please feel free to leave the name in the comment section.

I only wish we could’ve had more time at the park!  However, there was a party waiting and they need the guests of honor to arrive.

Everyone was wiping off the tears, the toasts were touching and humorous at the same time.
