Ocean Shores ~ Sarah & Kasey’s wedding photographs

When Sarah and Kasey inquired about having us photograph their intimate wedding in Ocean Shores, on the beach in rain or shine, we jumped at the opportunity.  We were only with Sarah & Kasey for a couple of hours.  However, that didn’t stop us from making the most of our day at the beach.   I was tempted to bring our dog, Toby and then decided having him sit in the car, even with windows open would be cruel for our big boy.   We’ll just have to make it up to him and take him to the beach another weekend.

The officiant was a former groom we had photographed last year and they the officiant, Robert & his wife Alexandra recommended us to Sarah & Kasey.  (THANK-YOU!)
We would love to hear your thoughts … so don’t be shy, leave a comment for us or for Sarah & Kasey! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this day.

California Poppy

This afternoon as I was returning home I noticed the poppies in bloom in our front yard and decided I just HAD to take a photograph.  No particular reason, just because.  Hey I’m a photographer, it’s my prerogative!

This Old Truck

SONY DSC

Yesterday as we were heading home from a portrait session, we saw this off the road at Spanaway Loop close to JBLM.  I HAD to turn around so we could get a photo of this old truck with a young tree that is growing out of the floor boards and through the window of this old truck.

Tacoma Mini Engagement Sessions

engagement photographer
Last month we were offering potential customers a FREE with no-obligation to hire us mini engagement session.  Due to the popularity of it and at the recommendation of those who took advantage of this offer, we are going to re-introduce it and make it a regular offer!

So, what are the details and are there hidden costs involved?  The FREE mini engagement sessions are available to customers who have yet to hire their wedding photographer and are considering Family Affair Photography among others as their photographer.  We will meet at a location of your choice within 20 miles of Tacoma for a 30 minute engagement session.

After the session your edited photos will be posted to a private password protected gallery where you can view, share and even order prints.  We will provide you with a FREE 8x10 print or two 5x7 prints of your choice after the session.

IF you love your photographs and you like us, we hope you will decide to hire us to photograph your upcoming wedding.  However, if for any reason you don’t like the photos or you feel we don’t mesh personality wise we encourage you to go ahead and find the right photographer!

To book these limited number of FREE mini sessions e-mail us at info@familyaffairphotography or give us a call at 253-970-5689.

Tacoma Engagement Session

We first met Candice & Jesse at the Wedding Walk Tacoma last February, where I was told she was able to find several of her wedding vendors in a fun and non stressful environment.

For their engagement session we met at Lake Wapato Park in Tacoma.  Sonny & I loved the connection or bond that Candice & Jesse have and we suspect they will have a long loving life together.

High Cedars Golf Course ~ Veronica & Justin’s wedding photographs

2011 has been filled with weddings that remind us why we love what we do, Veronica and Justin’s wedding was no exception.  They had beautiful weather for their April outdoor wedding ceremony at High Cedars Golf Course in Orting.

I loved how Veronica’s daughter helped with her mom’s dress and then earrings.  There was a lot of love for each other and I could see that she was truly happy that her mom was marrying Justin. =)

They were inspired by all the hats at the royal wedding of William & Katherine.  I LOVED the hats they made the night before!

The clouds cleared, allowing us all to enjoy a spectacular view of Mt Rainier.  We stopped for a quick photo with the mountain and the evening colors.
