Tacoma Portrait Photography ~ Christy & Isaac

We met with Christy & Isaac at Wright Park in Tacoma in hopes of finding a lot of fall color.  Unfortunately, we only found a couple of trees with color.  Still the search was on.  Christy & Isaac have been married 5 years and decided it was time to update their portraits.  The last time they had any done was at their wedding.  We were honored to fulfill the request to update their portraits.

Yes, I admit, I’m still WAY behind on posting blog entries.  My goal for the New Year is to be timely with the posts once again. =)

Newborn Portrait Photography ~ Rebecca

Yep, we got to photograph another newborn girl!  It’s not all boys after all, whew.  We were told Rebecca was being stubborn and not sleeping during the day.   She was awake for the most part and really fought sleep.  It was as we were packing up to leave that she finally totally crashed!

We will be following Rebecca during her first year, visiting her every 3 months with the ‘As Baby Grows’ package.  I can’t wait to see this precious girl again.   Gotta love this “job”!

Tacoma Senior Portrait Photographer

Recently we started helping other photographers who are starting their own photography business and/or those who are hoping to learn the business.  We held a ‘senior portrait’ workshop for the “Aspiring Portrait & Wedding Photographers” group where the photographers could learn about posing, lighting and working with high school seniors.

This was an awesome experience working with so many bright and beautiful teenagers AND so many creative, inspiring photographers.  The following are portraits that either Sonny or I took of the seniors.

To see photos from the other photographers please feel free to check out the group website – Aspiring portrait & wedding photographers

** We are always looking for models, newborns, newly engaged, families, etc who are willing to have their portraits done by a group of talented aspiring photographers.  Sonny & I take a few photographs however the majority comes from the other photographers.  To learn more about this opportunity just send us an e-mail at info@familyaffairphotography.com

Tacoma Family Portrait ~ The ‘M’ Family

This is a niece of ours with her family.  I only wish we could have met with them earlier in the day before it was getting dark.  However, we made the best of the time we had as the weekend had rain predicted (which we got) and we knew that wasn’t going to work for an outdoor family portrait session.

In the past we’ve only been able to do portraits at the location of your choice.  We are thrilled to announce that we now have a studio available for portraits!  To book your winter portrait session, just give us a call or shoot us an e-mail at info@familyaffairphotography.com

Fall has been a busy time for family portraits.  It’s a great time to update the photos and then use them for Christmas cards.  Who doesn’t love to receive photos and see how the family is changing through the years?

We enjoyed photographing the ‘M’ family and their handsome and ever so cheerful son at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma.

A few weeks prior to their wedding, Jennifer & Rafel went to an event where they had a Hawaiian pig roast.  From what I understand, Rafel then wanted a pig at the wedding.  However, Jennifer who works for a catering company told him it was to late to get the pig.  Then she surprised him at the reception with a Hawaiian pig roast!  He was one very happy camper.
