Bethany had contacted us, asking if we would meet them at the Doubletree Hotel at SeaTac Airport for their CAV ball. She wasn’t sure they would have a photographer there or not (and they didn’t). She was able to preserve the memories of the night and show how great they looked with her stunning ball gown and him in his dress uniform.
Are you having a special occasion where you will be dressing up and want to be assured of some beautiful photographs? If so, just give us a call and we can get you those photographs!

We absolutely fell in love with Matt & Sarah when we first met them at Forza, then again for their engagement session at Point Defiance Park, simply because we could see how in love they were with each other and the joy of life they shared.
Unfortunately Sonny wasn’t able to shoot with me and I had an assistant with me (no photos represented in this blog entry are from the assistant).
The day started out by meeting Sarah at her room at the Silver Cloud Inn, where Matt saw his beautiful bride for the first time in her gorgeous wedding dress. They allowed plenty of time for us to do the five mile drive at Point Defiance for some photographs of them and later their wedding party. Sarah stayed securely hidden in the limo until the start of the wedding at the Rose Garden on a beautiful summer day. They had their reception at the Tacoma Yacht Club with a large gathering of family and friends.
Thank-you Sarah & Matt for allowing me the wonderful opportunity to photograph your wedding. I enjoyed every single minute of your day!

Recently a few photographers in our photography group that we organize met with two couples at Pike Place Market for some engagement sessions. Since it was a crowded weekend we mostly skirted around the edges of the market, around Post Alley with a brief windy stop at Victor Steinbrueck Park near Pike Place where Courtney & Jon were ‘busted’ by a Seattle Police Officer … for disturbing the peace by being too in love. Their session was a little edgy and most definitely romantic despite the crowds.
We gladly go to Seattle for engagements, portraits of any kind and of course weddings too! Just give us a call or send us an e-mail to book your session with Family Affair Photography.

Some very long, over due wedding photographs from the festive and beautiful wedding of Karen & Jonathan. We started out meeting Karen at Courtyard by Marriott in Tacoma for her getting ready photos and a few bridal portraits before heading over to the LeMay Marymount Event Center for the wedding and some major festivities that went well into the night.
While we may have not understood all the toasts that were spoken in Spanish, we understood their love for each other and for their families, many who came from Florida for this grand celebration.
Due to my (Monica) foot injury we had some extra photographers helping us at this large wedding. The majority of the photos in the blog entry are from Sonny & Monica, others are from assistants who came for part or all of the wedding, they are: Jennifer W (a regular assistant of ours), and Randy Y. It’s wonderful knowing photographers who are willing to step in and offer a helping hand when one is injured. Despite my injury, I found myself shooting just as much as ever … I LOVE it too much!
