          white peacock

Image of the Day:  White Peacock.  I saw this white peacock when I was visiting my oldest son in MD last summer.  Unfortunately I couldn't hang around to see if he would eventually spread his feathers.

And YES, Family Affair Photography will shoot weddings in the Washington DC/Baltimore area!  =)

It's time to do some catching up with some past portrait sessions that didn't make it to the blog for one reason or another (most likely due to our recent move).

We met Gena at Lake Wapato Park for her Operation: Love Reunited photo session.  Her husband is currently deployed and she wanted him to have some photos of their adorable son. =)  We hope he enjoys the photos from home!

Wishing you "Top of the Morning" on this St Patrick's Day.

And what does "Top of the Morning" mean?  When you wish some one the "Top of the Morning" you are wishing them the best part of the morning. To which they should reply, "and the rest of the day to yourself." This is wishing you a good rest of the day.

We, at Family Affair Photography also wish you a good rest of the day!

Angela & Miles ~ Tacoma Wedding Photography

We first met Miles during a photo session for his  deployed brother, through Operation: Love Reunited.
This time however,  we were called in to photograph his marriage to Angela before he departs for basic training in the US Army.  It was fun to meet some of the other significant people in his life and to reconnect with his brother's family.

Weekend Bonus ~ Tacoma Photography

Everyday when I drove to Milton with my husband I admire this view.  However, it's from I-5 on an over pass.  Meaning there is no safe place to stop, pull over and take a good photograph.

The other day I asked Sonny to snap a photo from the car as we drove past at 60 MPH.  This is what he got, I think considering it was a 'drive-by', he did pretty good! =)

This is one of the reasons  why I love living in Washington! =)
