Rebecca ~ 6 Months Old Portrait

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSC

Why are ALL ‘my’ babies growing so fast!  It felt just like yesterday when I saw Rebecca at 3 months old.  You can see her 3 month and newborn photos at the highlighted links.  We visit and photograph Rebecca every three months during her first year, as part of our ‘As baby grows’ package.

We only allow a limited number of these sessions and a couple of our babies are quickly approaching their first birthday and we will be accepting a couple more newborns.  You can insert a sad face here, because I’m going to miss the babies that are moving on past their first year.  However, it would be every easy to turn my sad face into a happy face with a new baby to photograph!

Kylee ~ Edgy Prom Portraits

Family Affair PhotographyFamily Affair PhotographyFamily Affair PhotographyFamily Affair PhotographyFamily Affair PhotographyFamily Affair PhotographyFamily Affair Photography

When Kylee first stepped out in front of the camera with her gorgeous prom gown, she was a little shy and acted a little unsure in front of the camera.  However, within minutes she really turned on her inner model and really rocked this photo shoot!  Tyra Banks would have been proud of her.

So, do you have a prom dress or maybe a bridesmaid dress that’s just hanging in your closet?  Why not pull it out and have some fun being your own top model while getting some stunning images.  I promise they will be better than the prom portraits taken at the school dance!

Thank-you Kylee for rockin’ that prom dress, we had such a great time photographing you.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival ~ Engagements

Love was in the air at the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival!  We met with three couples for some portraits at the festival filled with brightly colored tulips and a hint of rain that didn’t hurt us or the tulips.  I really wish I had more time with each couple during this session, it was a whirlwind of a few minutes with each couple before handing them off to other photographers in our Aspiring Portrait & Wedding Photographers group that we lead.

Our ‘models’ were top to bottom:

Jillayna & Chris, Jillayna is the daughter of a good friend of mine and I have to admire Jillayna as she had to battle cancer at a young age.  Looking at her now you’d never know she had such a battle.  She’s an unstoppable force!

Brittany & Chad.  I met Chad briefly at Robin & Donn’s wedding.  However, I really didn’t get to know him, he seemed so much younger then and it wasn’t all that long ago!  Yes, they grow fast.  Chad brought his girlfriend for this engagement style portrait session we put together.

Last but, certainly not least, Robin & Donn.  I had the blessed opportunity to meet them the summer of 2010 when they got married at the Divine Elegance Chapel in Tacoma.  It’s hard to believe they will be soon be celebrating their second anniversary!  Happy anniversary Robin & Donn!

Thank-you to all our ‘models’ who tromped through the muddy fields for some colorful and beautiful images.

What a fun touch, the ‘flower’ (bubble) girls had fun with this!  It certainly created a lot of smiles.

The maid of honor had a long list of ‘secrets' and juicy tid bits she could share with the guests about the bride.  However, it was all in fun and nothing was really shared. =)  Then the mic would go on and off for the best man speech, I don’t think he really got his out with all the problems of the mic.

A few months ago, we had the honor of being the photographer (and guest) for ‘my son of another mother (& father)”, Joey.  My gift to Michelle and Joey was to photograph their wedding at The Mountain Terrace, in Woodside, CA in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This wedding was special to me for many reasons, Joey was now this young man and no longer a high school kid hanging with my two boys.  I always knew it would take a special girl for Joey and he found someone who is very down to earth and absolutely wonderful with children.   Now if we can just find someone for the best man of the wedding AKA my youngest son!

Besides it being their wedding, it also meant ALL my family (loved ones) were in the Bay Area for the wedding.  I was simply in heaven.  The days before and after were spent stomping around my old home of San Francisco and spending time with family.  It simply doesn’t get better than that!

My ONLY complaint … we could NOT get Joey to relax for the wedding portraits because he was stressing over the first dance!  Once it was over, it was much easier to get him to be himself.  Now on the other hand, Michelle seemed calm and relaxed. =)

Yes, we WILL travel to San Francisco in a heartbeat to photograph a wedding and I assure you are prices are better than what you can find in SF!
