And below are some photographs from “Pure Imagination”,  which was designed to be an intimate and ultimate event décor experience.  Designers showcased over the top décor to help inspire brides with unbelievable room designs for their events

I only wish I was feeling good that evening, I literally dragged myself out of bed to attend this event.  I would have really enjoyed the show if I were ‘fully together’.  There were many beautiful details that were simply overwhelming my half witted senses.

Both of these events are hosted by Crystal of Trendy Event Rentals.

Tacoma Engagement Session ~ Simo & Krista

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSC
Recently I put out a call for engaged couples or even married couples for an engagement type session for the photography group of aspiring portrait & wedding photographers that we organize.

One of the couples to respond was Simo & Krista who are newly married.  I loved hearing their story of how they met and fell in love.  Krista was on a ‘working type’ vacation (from what I understand) in the beautiful and exotic Morocco.  The first restaurant she went to in Morocco, she met Simo who was the restaurant manager.

Time moves forward and finds them as newlyweds working here in Tacoma.
Krista reminded me a lot of an old friend of mine; worldly, non-judgmental and full of life.  Thank you for being such wonderful models for the group.

From time to time we need ‘models’ for all types of portrait sessions: engagement, families, boudoir, newborns and MORE.  All the photographs in this blog were photographed by Monica & Sonny of Family Affair Photography.

Tacoma Engagement Session ~ Crystal & Chris

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSC

As I’ve mentioned in the past, we organize a group of aspiring portrait photographers and through out the year we arrange opportunities for them to experience different types of portrait sessions.  During one of my calls for a couple, Judi from Getting Personal Imprinting (wedding initiations) in Parkland suggested a couple who didn’t have engagement photos yet.  So, we all met downtown Tacoma for this session.

Chris & Crystal will be getting married in October of this year.  They were so  agreeable to try anything the photographers suggested.  Thank-you for helping our group out, we all had fun ‘working’ with  you and we wish you much happiness.  BTW, IF you need a photographer …. I know a few including my husband & I of Family Affair Photography!  (wink, wink)

Port Orchard Wedding ~ Trista & Jim

We had the wonderful & blessed opportunity to photograph the wedding of Trista & Jim on 11-11-11. Yes, I’m way behind on blogging! Trista, is a wedding vendor that we have known through a wedding professionals networking group.  I always admired her self confidence, beauty and more importantly how she cared for her brides.

Trista and Jim had a small intimate wedding at Cedar Cove Inn, filling the inn with family and close friends.

I simply love when couples opt to have a reveal before the wedding.  The reveals are often done in a quiet area giving the couple that moment to take a deep breath before all the activities and guests start demanding their attention.  We take a few photos if desired then step away for a moment or two.
