This cake topper adorned the brides grandmother's cake many years earlier.   The bride wanted this topper as her grandma had recently passed away and wanted to honor her and the long marriage her grandma had.

Cherylee, Shawn & Family

We met with Cherylee, Shawn and their family at Priest Point Park in Olympia for a fall family portrait session.  Having fall colors was an important requirement for the session and the park provided an abundance of color.   We had a lot of fun and I must admit, I'm looking forward to more sessions at this park.

Gas Works Park

Last week I photographed an engagement session at Gas Works Park in Seattle.   As I was walking to my car, I turned for one last look at this totally intriguing park.  I could not resist the view with the pink sunset reflecting off the buildings in the distance.  Now I can't wait to return for another session.  So, who's next for a portrait session at Gas Works Park in Seattle?

This 'Image of the Day' was from a vacation of ours to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Just as a friendly reminder, our photographers have passports and are always willing to travel to your destination wedding.!  How about a beach wedding in Puerto Vallarta?

Lady Washington

Lady Washington during a visit to Commencement Bay Tacoma.  I can't help but admire her while fantasizing of travel on this beautiful tall ship.  And yes,  I'm positive my thoughts are a glorified version of what it was really like to travel across the seas in the original ship back in the 18th century.

Mt Rainier Wedding

Jaysa and Jason were married at Mt Rainier in August.  It was such a beautiful and intimate wedding by Myrtle Falls at Paradise.  Family Affair Photography will photograph weddings large and small.

Sherri, Andrew and BABY bump

We met up with Sherri and Andrew at Point Defiance Park a few weeks ago.  I would've thought Sherri was only 6 months pregnant when I saw her.  However, as I type this, there should be a baby boy rounding out this new family. =)

Never Been Kissed

                                   

You can just feel the emotion in this photograph!  Sarah & Trevor had never kissed and were waiting for the first kiss to be during their marriage ceremony.  They were so close yet still waiting.  BTW, Happy Anniversary Sarah & Trevor!

Pink Salmon

We had a long day photographing a wedding when we were driving past the Puyallup River on River Rd and saw the fisherman lined up fishing for salmon.  Despite being tired, we had to stop and admire the view through the camera lens.

The other day during a portrait session at Point Defiance Park, I came across this beautiful star shaped dahlia.  Now I want one of those in my back yard!  Isn't it beautiful,

CAV Ball @ Hotel Murano

We had the blessed opportunity to photography the CAV Military Ball at Hotel Murano recently.  Below are a few photographs from the photo station we had set up.  We knew several people at the ball: Our assistant (1st photo), a writer who wrote about our participation in Op: Love Reunited, several past customers through the Op Love sessions, and a former bride/groom. =)  It was almost like a homecoming for us.  We enjoyed seeing everyone once again.
