Laurie’s Five ~ Family Portraits

s

Laurie had called us about getting some family portraits before they moved out of state, she wanted a lot of the NW lush greenery for the portraits.  We had a full crew to photograph, five children, each with their own agenda!  Despite each of them having their own ideas of what they wanted to do and none of it involved getting their portraits taken we had a fun afternoon with them.  Everything was turned into a game in order to get some portraits completed for mom.
We wish them much happiness and may they make lots of new friends at their new home.

Elsie & Ken ~ Engagement Portraits

Elsie & Ken came to us for their engagement session portraits, we met at Wapato Park in Tacoma for their session.  Their wedding will be taking place out of state and have recently moved to WA for jobs.  We hope they are enjoying their new home in WA and wish them much happiness.

For other couples, (who don’t have a wedding photographer yet) we do travel out of state for minimal fees.  Plus, if you are from WA, you know where to find us and get your photos! =)

Capitol Bridal Portraits

The first time we met Hannah was with our photography group for this bridal portrait session.  Her husband Levi joined us for a short bit before letting his wife finish some solo portraits.  The purpose of this session was to give some of the photographers in our group the experience of shooting a bride with her white dress.

The object of this photo session was not only to give Hannah & Levi some wedding portraits but, also to give photographers the opportunity to learn how to photograph wedding portraits and for these aspiring photographers a chance to gain experience before attempting to photograph a real wedding.

What a bride can learn from these sessions that we have done with the photographers, if you give your photographer the time you will be assured of beautiful wedding day images!  We are always happy to sit down with a couple to work a time-line that gives you the most value for your money spent.

After this session Hannah did a TTD (trash the dress) session with us (Sonny, myself and another photographer)  and then we also photographed their anniversary session.  You can find her TTD session here:  Rock/Trash the Dress?   And their incredibly fun anniversary portrait session here; Colorful Anniversary!  Thank-you Hannah for giving us the opportunity to do those sessions, all were so much fun.

The beautiful floral arrangement provided by Julia's Floral, Thank-you Julia for working with us on color and design, it was perfection!

Krohn Family

Family Holiday Portraits

We met the Krohn family at a Christmas Tree farm before they opened so we had the entire tree field to ourselves.  Since this particular session, I’ve been wishing for another portrait session at a tree farm.  Especially since I found a farm in Puyallup with a cool red barn.  This particular tree farm is in Tacoma.

Anyway, it was a lot fun trekking through the trees with the family, who wanted the photos to make holiday cards, for Hanukah and Christmas.  So, is everyone ready for the holidays?  It’s almost here!

Obermiller Family @ Auburn Game Farm Park

Family Affair Photography

What a truly delightful session, walking and playing at the Game Farm Park in Auburn with Obermiller family and their most adorable son.   It was a big adventure of finding giant head size (bigger) leaves, sticks and later rocks to throw in the river.  We only touched a small part of this beautiful park and I for one plan on returning with more time to explore.   We had fun, thank-you for allowing us to be a part of this adventure.

This year we have had some really awesome seniors to photograph and Jacquelyn is no exception!  We met with Jacquelyn outside our studio area for her senior portrait session.  We first met Jacquelyn at her uncle’s wedding then later at her grandparents anniversary party.  It was at the anniversary party that I recruited Jacquelyn to come model for our photography group and we can’t say how delighted we were to hear she wanted us for her senior portraits.   I didn’t have to share her this time with other photographers.   We wish you the best Jacquelyn!
