What photographer isn’t going to enjoy photographing a wonderful young lady in her beautiful homecoming dress?  We met with Joleen on a freezing cold day in downtown Tacoma for a “Rock the (homecoming) Dress” session.  I love the contrast of her beauty against the dilapidated old buildings and I love what a great sport she was despite freezing between photos.

We don’t think “Rock the Dress” sessions should be strictly for brides.   What about those gorgeous homecoming/prom dresses?  Wouldn’t you like to put them on again and have some fun while getting some awesome photographs?  And if you want to trash the dress, we can do that too!  To book your session just e-mail us at
info@familyaffairphotography.com or better give us a call at 253-970-5689, we’d love to get your session booked and let’s have some fun!

All I can say is WoW!  The venue – Wellspring Spa is such a delightful place for weddings with all the nooks and crannies that were perfect for portraits … we only hit a few due to the time constraints.  Let me just say I’m hopin’ & prayin’ that we get to photograph another wedding there soon!

Megan’s sister, a former bride we photograph, contacted us about photographing the wedding, and we couldn’t wait to see several familiar faces and we knew there would be a lot of dancing and good times at the wedding.  We weren’t disappointed!

Many of the wedding guests stayed at the cabins so they wouldn’t have to drive home from Ashford after the wedding.   This is a wonderful destination wedding location as couples can go to Mt Rainier before or afterwards.

Anyway, Thank-you for allowing us this wonderful opportunity and to be a part of your special day.  We wish Megan & David much happiness and continued happiness for Kahla & Wes.

Braden–newborn photography

Originally, I had intended to catch up with the blog posts and keep everything in order.  However, we had a couple of newborns and family Christmas portraits that I’d like to share now and of course that means posting things a little out of order.  If you are waiting for a wedding to be posted, or family portraits please be assured, I will share them on the blog!  It’s been so important that we get photos out in a timely matter that blogging took a temporary back seat.

Today we are sharing handsome little Braden who was a week young when we met with him, his parents and his aunt.  Braden was extremely peaceful and easy going in front of the camera.  He didn’t seem to have a care in the world!  Oh to be so blissful, right?

We will be visiting Braden in a couple of months as his parents received a gift certificate for our “As Baby Grows” portrait plan.  Can you imagine a better gift?  The first year of life flashes by so quickly for busy young parents.
