Seattle Center Portraits

 

This past summer we took our photography group to the Seattle Center to do some ‘normal’ portraits then to have some fun in the spray fountain under the Space Needle.  While we enjoyed the portrait part of the day, I think everyone really had fun once the girls got soaked!  There was laughter on both sides of the cameras.  The last photo shows some of the photographers and some of the girls in action.

 

I for one am looking forward to more portrait sessions at the Seattle Center and maybe I’ll be lucky to find someone who is willing to get in the fountain too!  I suppose we would want a nice warm day for such an adventure, the thought of it at this time makes me shiver.

Taylor ~ Senior Portrait Session

For Taylor, this was a last minute senior portrait session with a quick turn-a-round, getting the photos to her within hours for her yearbook submission.  We met at Lake Wapato park for a mini half hour session.  We had so much fun with her, learning she will soon be leaving WA to head to Florida to attend college there.  She said everyone has been warning her of the alligators, like they are an everyday encounter!  As a former resident of Florida, the only time I saw an alligator was at a tourist attraction and once while on a boat off in the distance.  Now snakes and bugs …. ugh.  Still, I’m confident she’s going to have a great time and love her new adventures!

Rock the (prom) Dress

So, what do you do with those prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses or even the wedding dress after the event?  Well, may I boldly suggest instead of letting them sit and gather dust in your closet, putting on some make up and rocking (or even trashing) those dresses!

Senior Portrait Photography ~ Sydney

We never know how our customers will find us.  Sydney’s mom had a co-worker recommend us as we did her niece’s senior portrait.  I love when that happens, and it happens frequently.  We appreciate those referrals and votes of confidence.

Sydney met us at the studio recently for her senior portraits, and she needed to get the portraits done and to her school STAT.   Mission accomplished!

Rock the (homecoming) Dress ~ Joleen

What photographer isn’t going to enjoy photographing a wonderful young lady in her beautiful homecoming dress?  We met with Joleen on a freezing cold day in downtown Tacoma for a “Rock the (homecoming) Dress” session.  I love the contrast of her beauty against the dilapidated old buildings and I love what a great sport she was despite freezing between photos.

We don’t think “Rock the Dress” sessions should be strictly for brides.   What about those gorgeous homecoming/prom dresses?  Wouldn’t you like to put them on again and have some fun while getting some awesome photographs?  And if you want to trash the dress, we can do that too!  To book your session just e-mail us at

Tacoma Senior Portrait Photographer

Recently we started helping other photographers who are starting their own photography business and/or those who are hoping to learn the business.  We held a ‘senior portrait’ workshop for the “Aspiring Portrait & Wedding Photographers” group where the photographers could learn about posing, lighting and working with high school seniors. 

This was an awesome experience working with so many bright and beautiful teenagers AND so many creative, inspiring photographers.  The following are portraits that either Sonny or I took of the seniors.
