Check it out, there’s a blue bird (blue jay) over the grooms shoulder.   I call it a blue bird as it symbolizes happiness and I foresee happiness in their future! =)

Kristina & DJ flew in from Oklahoma in late March after finding Alexander Country Inn when they were looking for best places to elope.   After the wedding ceremony we drove into MT Rainier National Park for some wedding day portraits.

The ride ended up being more of an adventure than any of us planned.   While the roads in the photo above look pretty good, they quickly turned treacherous as you gained elevation.  We had an embankment on one side and a canyon on the other side and in front of us an approaching car when we hit a patch of ice that decided to put us into an uncontrolled fishtail.

I was more than happy to put our SUV into the uphill snow bank!  After that we were willing to call it quits when we reached Longmire where we took several photographs and even had a blue jay come and pose with the couple.

Thank-you Kristina & DJ for being such good sports in the snow.
