Ashley & Alex ~ Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club

On New Year’s Day, Ashley & Alex were married at the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club.  It was our first time to photograph a wedding at this particular venue, and if I understood correctly they really don’t have that many weddings at this location, I’m not sure why not though as it has plenty to offer and some great off site locations for portraits that very close.

The men’s shoes were painted or “tattooed” by a tattoo artist friend/groomsmen.  They are definitely a one of a kind shoe!

Their reveal took place in the courtyard of Annie Wright School in Tacoma.  What a beautiful location for portraits and weddings!

Photo bombing alert!  Photo bombing, the fine art of getting into other people's photos. Usually by running in the background or making a silly face in the background. It's usually done to strangers.  Look closely to find their photo bomber!

The bride’s father has a warning for the groom!  Alex, I’d listen to him if I were you! =)

Getting to the wedding on time?  Barely, maybe they were a little ‘distracted’ in the back?  Each couple were quickly getting dressed and putting themselves together as they hustled down the aisle.  It had a few guests wondering, many others laughing.

Two of their friends had birthdays and they were honored with their own cupcakes with candles.

So, we started the New Year off with two weddings, one on New Year’s Eve and then on New Year’s Day.  Both weddings were so much fun in very different and personal ways.  I’m liking 2012, we’ve already some of thee best weddings and best couples.
