While we have photographed weddings at many local churches, this was actually our first time to photograph a wedding at St Patrick’s Church in Tacoma and wow, I can’t wait to go back!  Another beautiful church and grounds.  From the wedding ceremony we moved to Titlow Lodge for a fun filled reception with a lot of dancing, laughter and good times.  Thank-you Annie & Philip for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful day.

Rachel & Brian ~ Orting Library Community Room

Oh my, it’s been sometime since I’ve blogged our weddings or portraits for that matter!  I’m going to make a better effort to get these past weddings posted.  Thank-you Rachael & Brian for being so patient with me on posting the blog.

Tell us how you two first met?  Who, what, when, where, why?  Come on, give us the details, our enquiring minds want to know!

We met showing sheep at the county fair when we were 13 and we kept in touch over the years.

When did you know he/she was the one?  Was there something he/she did?

Since we officially became a couple on Christmas Eve over Skype, we talked for 8 hours!

Tell us about the proposal.  Example: Did you see it coming? How long was it in the planning?  How did you feel?

Rachel was planning to move to WA from CA already so Brian proposed over the summer prior to her moving while taking the dogs for a walk, it was very informal. =)

Trendy Event Rentals, Tacoma

One of my favorite stores in Tacoma is Trendy Event Rentals, it seems I can’t go in there and I have to touch something, usually a new table cloth or the feathers when I go in for a meeting.  I asked if I could bring my camera so I could share some of the setups on display.  Crystal has everything from country chic to city style and anything in between.  They have always done an amazing job with décor.  If you’re planning a wedding or an event, I highly recommend checking them out, you can visit their website here –> Trendy Events

Lisa, Tom & Grace

When Lisa contacted me for a family portrait, we had no idea what would take place after this session.  Tom had suggested they get some family portraits and she made the arrangements.  Honestly, it’s rare when the man makes such a request!  Anyway, we had a brief mini session at Point Defiance Park and we all went our merry way.

Later that night I received an excited message from Lisa stating they were now engaged!  This will be a second (and lasting) marriage for both of them.  So, we have a new family forming here, isn’t that exciting!  Congratulations, I couldn’t be happier for the three of you.

Shelby & Bobby ~ Getting There!

Shelby & Bobby both serve in the US Army and met while they were both based in Texas.  She has since been transferred to Virginia and he’s been assigned a post here at JBLM.  It’s become a cross country relationship and this was her first visit to WA and they wanted some photographs of their time together before she had to return to VA.  We hope they both get based together soon and wish them both a lot of happiness.
